I would like to take this opportunity to review the year 2012, to say THANK YOU for all your support, and to look out to what is coming up in 2013.
The year 2012 started with three workshops at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg to identify best practices in six different areas of process management. Organizations from aviation, engineering, manufacturing, defense, and research were involved in the workshops and we were able to identify a number of common, promising, and best practices on topics such as process modeling, requirement management, and process improvement.
To share the results with the BPinPM.net community, we experimented with different types of media and created a number of videos. To learn more about the workshop results, please check these posts.
To intensify the sharing of the results even more, we invited all interested process management experts to the first BPinPM.net Process Management Conference to Lufthansa Training and Conference Center on Sep 21, 2012.
For me personally it was an absolute highlight to host this event and to welcome 80 experts in Seeheim: A sunny autumn day with interesting presentations, exciting discussions, and a delicious BBQ. A big thank you to all participants! 🙂
For additional impressions, please see here. If everything will turn out fine, there might be a follow up event in 2013!
As announced, proceeds of the conference should be donated to Deutsche Lufthansa Berlin-Stiftung. Finally, a few days ago, Michael Bögle and I as representatives of the BPinPM.net initiative were able to hand over a check of 10.000 Euro to Peter Struck of “Freunde der Lufthansa Ju 52 e.V.”, an association that raises funds exclusively for the operations and maintenance of Deutsche Lufthansa Berlin-Stiftung’s Ju 52. – Again, thank you to all conference participants who have made this donation possible!
Another highlight in 2012 was the founding of Process Management Alliance e.V. as an official association to continue our BPinPM.net activities as well as to transfer the identified best practices to the social and education sector. For the transfer of process management knowhow first “process2social” activities were initialized and a more general approach for 2013 is already foreseeable. – More to be announced in 2013! 🙂
If you are interested to participate in the February workshop concerning process standardization, KPIs, and risk management, please feel free to contact us to get the last available space.
Again, we would like to say thank you very much for your support in 2012! – We are curious about what is coming up and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2013 at one of our events!
For now, we wish you a very pleasant Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
Mirko on behalf of the BPinPM.net Team
