Daniel Beimborn

Daniel2Daniel Beimborn is Assistant Professor at the Department for Information Systems and Services at University of Bamberg, Germany. Daniel graduated in Business Administration at Goethe University, Frankfurt, where he also received his PhD in Information Systems. He is author of more than 80 reviewed journal articles (e.., in MIS Quarterly, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK) and conference papers (ICIS, ECIS, WI, HICSS etc.) as well as seven books on outsourcing and process optimization of banking processes, cooperative sourcing, outsourcing relationship management, standardization, IT management, and IT business alignment.
His current research activities cover management of outsourcing and nearshoring relationships, IT governance and the business value of service-oriented architectures (SOA), business process standardization, BPO and shared services in financial industries, and the role of IT for firms’ innovation processes. He teaches courses on outsourcing management, IT governance & management, and electronic finance and he is responsible for the development of University of Bamberg’s B.Sc. International Information Systems Management (IISM) and the implementation of an international internship program at his school.
